Kirk Hammett Signature Series Electric Guitar

In 1991, Kirk Hammett of Metallica approached ESP with a request for a new guitar featuring a single cutaway design, but with the same features as his KH-2 guitar. Metallica's graphic artist, Pushead, designed a distinctive spider graphic specifically for this new instrument. The KH-3 Spider was played by Kirk throughout the 1990s during tours supporting the legendary Black Album.

After being on display at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for several years, the original KH-3 was returned to ESP, enabling the company to reference it for this 30th Anniversary edition. The LTD Kirk Hammett Signature Series 30th Anniversary KH-3 Spider is a reissue of the original KH-3 model, with a few notable upgrades.

The guitar boasts a neck-through-body construction, a Floyd Rose 1000 bridge, and a fast, extra-thin U-shaped neck with an ebony fingerboard that is scalloped from the 17th to 24th frets. Additionally, the anniversary model features Kirk's signature EMG Bonebreaker pickups, which are new additions.

The guitar's construction includes an alder body, a 3-piece maple neck, and a Macassar ebony fingerboard. The LTD Kirk Hammett Signature Series 30th Anniversary KH-3 Spider comes with an EC guitar form-fit case.

This reissue of the iconic KH-3 Spider guitar pays homage to Kirk Hammett's long-standing relationship with ESP and his legendary status within the metal music community. The upgrades and attention to detail in this 30th Anniversary edition ensure that the guitar maintains its renowned playability and tone, while also offering a fresh take on a classic design.
